Hey, what about my hybrid?

There are two types of hybrids – plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) that have a small gas engine, but also use batteries to power an electric motor. PHEVs can be recharged from an EV charger, but also incorporate the gas engine to recharge the battery. Then there are hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) which are powered by a combination of a gas-powered engine and an electric motor running off a battery pack. HEV batteries cannot be recharged from an EV charger.

What are the available home charging levels for EVs?

Most EVs will charge at one of two charging levels at home.
